Product Description

BSMART Binder – Portland cement is the most important and primary ingredient in concrete. The production of Portland cement requires intense heat, 6.9 million kJ per tonne (6 million Btu per ton); which means that the contents of a full concrete truck with Portland cement in it was created using 19 million kJ of energy (18 million Btu). A four-storey, 700 m2 building would require 3.1 billion kJ of energy (2.9 million Btu) in the production of its concrete alone. Instead of relying on Portland cement, BSMART™ Binder relies on ingredients of natural origins, therefore allowing an environmentally friendly manufacturing process of the bricks.
